2018年10月30日、Appleスペシャルイベントでは、多くの新デバイスの発表が期待されており、新型Apple Pencilもその中のひとつに含まれている。
そんな中、Guilherme Rambo氏とSteve Troughton-Smith氏は新型Apple Pencilに関する情報を「iOS」のシステムファイル内より発見した。
新型Apple Pencilに関する情報として、コードネームはB332とされておりジェスチャー操作に対応していることが明らかとなった。
ジェスチャー操作では、ユーザーが新型Apple Pencilの側面に沿って指をスライドさせると、ブラシサイズ、カラーといったツールを変更できるようになっているようだ。
Apple Pencil 2, model B332, will support gestures. The user will be able to change stroke properties by sliding along the sides of the pencil.
